Founded in 2011, One Million Rural Women Association is a non-profit agrarian rural association which seeks to support women peasants and workers who are operating in very miserable conditions and levitate their education and living conditions. MRW association was first active in support the movement of occupying lands in Jumna, Chouigui and Dkhila, and provided lawyers for activists who have been jailed, in addition to facilitated training sessions for peasants and helped them to access the knowledge they need to improve their production methods. MRW continuesto advocate for changes to policy to protect rural women workers. itsupports women’s self-organization, and is working together, men and women, to support the small peasants, at their head the rural women who still suffer from a double exploitation in Tunisia: that of the patriarchate and that of the bosses. MRW is an Independent non-profit association gathering small peasants, workers in farming and other volunteers (engineers, architects, students.) working for the following objectives: 1.Defend the rights of small peasants and women workers in farming in rural areas. 2.Denounce the poor and miserable conditions of work and transport of female rural workers (tens of female workers die every year in Road accidents on their way to fields). 3.Empoerement of rural women, peasants and fisherfolks through Organizing training sessions in Agro-ecology, agrarian reform, self-organization and deeper education and selforganization and self-building strategies 4.Support struggles of small peasants and farming workers and organize solidarity campaigns with them
